  • Be realistic and clear about what you can achieve with your trade in and what you are looking for in a new vehicle

  • Look into and understand how the depreciation on your vehicle works so that you are properly informed and mentally prepared for what to expect

The Don’ts: Things You Should NOT Be Doing

Here are some common mistakes we see:

  • Failure to negotiate - always talk to your consultant about the deal you are about to strike and how it can be adapted to suit you better

  • Wasting money on having your car fully detailed - clean is good, detailing may cost you money you can’t make back

  • Overestimating the car’s value or condition - have manageable expectations going in
